60yr Old Advocating for Harm Minimisation - Vaping Consumer

I am 60 years old, and I am a former tobacco smoker. I used to smoke cigarettes, cigars and occasionally a pipe. I tried to give up smoking tobacco many times by various methods, each time eventually failing and returning to cigarettes. I finally succeeded in quitting cigarettes in the space of three days by switching to vaping with a commercially available vaporizer and nicotine vape juice. I have never relapsed since switching to vaping.
Since switching to vaping my health has dramatically improved. This is supported by the fact that I recently was involved in a clinical study looking at the effects of existing asthma medications effect on assisting with recovery from and treatment of Covid-19. Part of this study was to undergo a lung capacity testing. When I asked the person giving me this testing/assessment if they could tell, based on my performance during these tests, if I was a former smoker they answered in the negative. I also asked if there were any adverse effects they observed from me being a current vaper, again they responded in the negative.
Vaping has also allowed me to save a great deal of money by avoiding the crippling expense of tobacco excise. This has been quite beneficial since I have now retired. Please treat adults as adults. Vaping needs to be a well-regulated, widely available harm minimization product. If you are going to let me buy cigarettes at the local supermarket or liquor store, then let me buy vaping products there or at the vape store. I know which one of these is better for me.
