A Very Experienced Doctor Is Very Supportive Of My Vaping – Vaping Consumer

I am a father of 5 and am very supportive of efforts to restrict vapes to children. What I don’t understand is why we don’t use the established methods of only being able to buy vapes after proof of ID / Age as with alcohol and cigarettes.
I am concerned that we are overcomplicating and trying to regulate something that is quite adaptive.
I believe the current course will simply create wealth for criminal organisations through the creation of a sustained black marked. The criminal gangs will not restrict the supply of vapes to children. Prohibition has never been a successful tactic.
I don’t understand why citizens need a script for vaping when they don’t for alcohol or cigarettes. I feel that alcohol and cigarettes are worse for people.
I was a lifetime smoker and vapes have allowed me to break the shackles of cigarettes and has led to a healthier and more energetic life for me. I feel as though the rules so far described will simply drive me back to cigarettes once my stock runs out soon. I also have several friends who are also of the view that the proposed restrictions will move them back to cigarettes.
I have asked GPs, my usual and online, about vaping scripts. They have no idea what needs to be prescribed. I have also socially spoken to several doctors, and they appear universal in the view that smoking cigarettes is worse than vapes from a reputable supplier.
I am married to a very experienced doctor, and she is very supportive of my vaping rather than smoking cigarettes.
