Education Specialist Warns "Prohibition Does Not Work" - Vaping Consumer

I am scared. I am currently the customer of a vape business in Adelaide. They sell vaping products that do not contain nicotine and have to operate under a tobacconist licence even though they do not sell cigarettes.
I am deeply concerned with the (proposed) retail vape ban that has been tabled by the Labor party from the perspective of a vape store consumer, current vaper, education specialist and loved one.
A retail ban on vape products in this country will:
Fuel an already thriving black market by shutting down legitimate operators which in turn, puts more (illegal) dodgy vapes in the hands of children and restricts access to adults who rely on the devices to not smoke cigarettes.
Criminalise adults who choose an alternative to smoking cigarettes.
Put us at odds with other western democracies in the world.
Shutdown my favourite store, along with (1000's) other long standing legitimate businesses across Australia for simply helping people quit smoking.
I ask that you:
Introduce a policy that would see the legalisation of nicotine vape sales with licence in this country which would restrict access to young Australians and allow adults the right of choice on their quit smoking options.
The only thing this (proposed) legislation will do is close legitimate businesses down whilst handing the vape sales to the black market who I can assure you don't quality test products nor ID their 'customers' at a bare minimum.
Prohibition WILL NOT WORK.
