I am concerned that this will impact the current vaping population by inducing many to return to smoking, causing notable upticks in the rates of smoking related diseases and rendering the prescription for vapes unnecessarily ineffective for almost no tangible benefit whatsoever.
This is especially concerning for the population who have already quit smoking using vapes, and will now induce many within this population to likely take up smoking again, causing significant strain on the healthcare industry in Australia, and doing more harm to public health.
Our focus ought not solely rest on making vaping safer but also maintaining its efficacy as a viable method for helping people break free from tobacco addiction’s shackles, thereby protecting and enhancing public health outcomes in Australia.
