In 2018 I suffered a heart attack and was advised by my cardiologist to never have another cigarette. That caused me great concern due to not being able to achieve this in the past. I have tried over many years to quit smoking. I have used patches, gum, lozenges, inhalers and also hypnosis with no success. At that time I decided to try vaping with nicotine liquid. My cardiologist was happy with that as I would not be inhaling combusted tobacco or carbon monoxide.
I believe that using my vaporiser has prevented me from returning to smoking cigarettes.
I have not had a cigarette since my heart attack in 2018 & believe this is due to using a vaporiser. I use a reusable open system vaping device which is environmentally friendly unlike closed single use devices.
It also concerns me that small businesses that provide these products to help people quit smoking will be closed & lose their livelihood. I believe adults should be able to purchase reusable vaporisers, eliquids, parts and accessories through registered businesses with strict age restrictions, and nicotine liquid to remain available through prescription.
