Transitioned to Dramatic Health Improvements – Vaping Consumer

I began smoking when I was about 19 years old. I worked for a company where everyone smoked, and it wasn’t long before I picked up my first cigarette. My smoking habit ramped up very quickly to a pack a day. I tried every conceivable method to stop as I could feel my health was suffering - patches, gum, hypnosis, cold turkey, nothing worked. A friend introduced me to vaping at a Christmas function in 2018, I ordered a device from the US which arrived on the 14th of January 2019. That was the last day I had a cigarette. Stopping smoking was incredibly easy with vaping.
My health has improved dramatically since then, I no longer wheeze continually, I can walk upstairs without feeling like I may faint, I wake up in the mornings no longer racing outside to smoke, and I am no longer constantly planning my day around when I might be able to squeeze in my next cigarette. Vaping has improved my quality of life and my productivity tremendously.
One thing that concerns me greatly about the new regulations is that they are clearly designed to push Australians back to traditional cigarettes. It is simply financially ruinous.
I often think of a family where both parents currently vape and are pushed back to smoking. The additional financial impost will be hundreds and hundreds of dollars per week and the losers in this scenario will be their children.
I am aghast at the amount of misinformation being peddled in the media. I’ve seen dozens of the most ridiculous claims about the dangers of vaping, yet not one promoting the fact that around 24,000 Australians die a year from smoking traditional cigarettes and none die from vaping. Not one.
