“Vaping for me is a leisure activity.” (ex-smoker 15+ years) – Vaping Consumer

I am an ex-smoker of more than 15 years, who took up vaping – not to help quit smoking so
much, but to keep doing what I loved: inhale/exhale, see the smoke, relax (also to encourage
my family and friends to shut up about my smoking while quitting).
I’ve been using a vaporizer since June 2019, and I gain much satisfaction from it.
I do not understand why vaping must be banned. Smoking is still legal, alcohol is still legal, good grief, even sugar is still legal. These three have a great deal of impact on the health of Australians, yet they are not banned.
Vape liquids do not contain medications – why should they be made prescription only and be
obtained from a chemist? Are you planning to make sugar a prescription only item? Sugar is
very bad for people, its copious use leads to all sorts of complications – child and adult
obesity, diabetes, poor oral health, to name a few.
Vaping for me is a leisure activity. It is a free and informed activity.
