Having easy access to all vaping products, therapeutic and non-therapeutic should be
encouraged, not made more difficult by the current government changes. Therapeutic and non-therapeutic vape products, should be fully and easily allowed to be sold via stand alone licensed Vape stores . . . as over-18 only operations. Restricting or banning these products only fuels the Blackmarket, only strong regulation in an open market will work but with restrictions to only allow Adults access. As per alcohol and cigarettes.
We should follow best practice and proven harm minimisation identical to New Zealand, Canada, UK . . . where open regulation occurs. It's disappointing our Australian Health advisers have not formally sought advice from New Zealand, and should be encouraged rather than take a a repressive view not based on evidence or science.
The lies and misinformation spread by health officials and Minister Mark Butler is actually
embarrassing. Those that support and truly understand the benefits of vaping including many public Health professionals . . . find his misinformation highly ignorant. For myself; my GP, my chronic Disease specialist Professor, my dentist, all highly support vaping as an
alternative to smoking. And have discussed the current changes with them and they are appalled.
Vaping saved me from 35 years of addiction to nicotine, having tried all methods commonly
available over that last 25-30 years. Only Vaping worked, and the essential final part of this was moving from Nicotine based Juice to Non-nicotine. So we need continued access ongoing of all therapeutic and non-therapeutic vaping products
It feels that the government are driving vapers back to smoking cigarettes, the current prescription model doesn’t work . . . having access to a range of flavours is vital to assist in getting off smoking and nicotine - why would anyone want to give up smoking being limited to ‘tobacco flavour’?
Vaping gets people off the smokes due to having enjoyable flavours.
