Deaths Caused By Nicotine Vaping
There has never been an evidenced death attributed to be caused by nicotine vaping ever in history. There has been some interesting dubious claims that have been debunked.

Smoking Prevalence
There is two stories going on with smoking figures in Australia, the one the Govt want's you to think which is based on surveys of less than 0.01% of the population or more accurate analysis that we can formulate from real world data, such as water analysis, supply and demand figures and legal/illegal cigarette packs/butts analysis.
Our "Real Smoking Rate" will be based on a formula that takes into account these factors and will cross section all available data to offer a more likely real world figure.
"Over the life of the program, average consumption of nicotine has increased in the capital cities and regional areas." - Latest National wastewater report

-Average amount of cigs smoked per day according to AIHW is 13.1 in 2019
- Report 19 National Wastewater says 1.6 cigs consumed per day per person in 2022. When the math is done considering on shore population, average figure smoked (AIHW fig), vs waste water it indicates to a massive variation of 45%, which could mean that the real life smoking figure to possibly as high as
12%.

SMOKING & VAPING RATE DISTRACTIONS
A lot of figures published elsewhere are used to sell their argument and hence don't tell the real story.
For example, daily use of teen vaping is usually a lot less than "current use". "Current use" includes experimental short term use and often will include if some has only had one experimental puff.
"Daily use" is the more accurate and figure for concern as this gives an insight into the real use of a nicotine containing product.
Daily Smoking Rates
The AIHW Govt survey says "smoking rates have significantly decreased over the past few decades. In 2022-2023, the proportion of people aged 14 and over who smoked daily was 8.3%, a substantial drop from 24% in 1991."
However they only sample less than 0.01% of the population to reach this figure.
Who is going to admit to the Govt they are buying black market cigs on a survey, hence there are likely to be dramatic inaccuracies.
Waste studies give a lot more accurate picture.

Economic Costs Of Vaping
When smokers switch to vaping legally the government may recieve a small amount of tax from the GST. However most vaping products are sold via a thriving blackmarket which obviously means there is no economic advantage.
Prior to further restrictions on vaping product sales in 2024, there was very little to no costs associated with the previous model that allowed nicotine free vapes to be sold in retailers who were for the most part law abiding legal operators.
Vapers would import up to 3 months personal supply of nicotine.
The new laws implemented in 2024 shut the legal operators down causing a costly black market to flourish.
This is now causing our economy over a billion dollars to try and contain.

Economic Costs Of Smoking
In 2015–16, the total estimated cost of smoking in Australia was $136.9 billion: $19.2 billion in tangible costs and $117.7 billion in intangible costs. source>>

Vaping Prevalence
Accurate vaping figures are near impossible to measure as most vaping products are sold via the black market and survey samples are limited.
The ADF found:
In 2022–23, 1 in 5 (19.8%) people aged 14 and over reported using an e-cigarette at least once in their lifetime.
People 14 and over who reported vaping in the past year increased from 2.5% in 2019 to 7% in 2022-2023
Smoking Rate Decline
Australia's Smoking Rate Declines Are NOT " world leading!"

Vaping Stockists
Only 1 in 10 chemists stock "legally sold" vapes!
More than 99%
of Vapes are sold via the black market which helps fund billions of dollars into international crime syndicates who are involved in some of the most despicable crimes imaginable!
